Moving Home ~ Check List
Moving home can be a mammoth undertaking. Follow some simple guidelines, it may help...

* Look and book a moving company or alternatively, if moving yourself book a truck/van rental
* Take the opportunity to have big clean up and throw out. Organise a garage sale or donate your goods to charity.
* Confirm new school and childcare if pre- arranged otherise explore the options available
* Advise all relevant people of new contact details
* Investigate local health facilities /  sporting and social clubs.
* Organise boxes and packing materials
* Insurance - make sure all your goods will be covered 
* Arrange utility disconnections and reconnections. Organise to have your mail redirected
* Update the electoral office

AT YOUR NEW HOME
* Double check that everything in the prperty is in order and meets the terms of your purchase
* Check that the electricity, gas, hot water and telephone connections have been switched on
* As unpacking - check for damage or missing items
* Check security - if you are concerned have locks changed
* Introduce yourself to the neighbours
